  1. I think the creator is telling the truth. Because he would've brought back the app before the talk about it dies down. He would've brought it back because in a little bit later the app wont be talked about so much so and no one will remember.

  2. I am on the creator's side because on news apps like Flipboard there are articles stating that flappy bird is the end of humanity and similarities. These kind of comments can stress creators.
He is also worried about being sued which I feel every time I work on something.

  3. I think the creator is not telling the truth. Its the fact that evidence from the blog post says that it is possible that bots have made it popular. Also another theories is that he took it off to get attention then he might launch the game again or make a new game. This is my thought on why I think he is not telling the truth.

  4. I think that the creator of flappy bird isn't telling the truth because he was gaining a lot of money and he was becoming very successful. I think that he will eventually put the game back on the App Store and regain his popularity. Maybe he's doing it for the attention.

  5. I think we should believe mr Nguyen. He removed his game out of guilt. Besides, removing the game is a minor setback for him. It's still earning him tons of money and his other two games are in the top 50. Flappy bird has gotten him lots of attention, so everyone knows him and will be checking up on him.

  7. In my 'OPINION', I think it would be best if we should believe him. We should give him trust. He had many things to deal with. He was even threatened by nintendo that they would kill him! If I were him, I would feel like the worst thing existing. He probably couldn't forget the looks on the faces and their voices were in his dreams too. But there is also some part of his reasons that I don't believe him. I don't believe that he removed the game just because the game was meant to be when you were relaxed but it became too addicting which wasn't the intention of it. So, that's why I am sort of in the middle of believing and not believing the creator of this addicting, awesome and fun game.

  8. I dont think that he is lying, if he claims to have deleted it permanently, it wouldnt bring him any more fortune then it already did If everyone already downloaded the game, there wont be any other new people to download it to make him more money. Its perfectly fine if he isnt comfortable with his success, nobody knows how he feels except for him. After all, it is his descision to keep the game on or to shut it down, and he chose to shut it down for a good reason.

    1. Naww yo maybe plenty of people downloaded it he still makes that money but he could still be not telling the truth or lying it's nearly a 50:50 half think its a lie half think its true

    2. yeah but he would still get the same amount of money per day so lets say he lets flappy bird run for a year at this rate he would get $1825000 per year why would he give that up he's hiding something

  9. My opinion he's faking. I don't know I just think because like really what kind of game maker deletes the app just because people are addicted and he's gets too much money I bet if ur life was like that you would probably might not need a job just live happily and simple so maybe he's saying the truth maybe not. Be honest if u were him would you delete or go on with life and be happy it isn't causing much trouble. People rage over the game but it's not like ther life is over. Idk people just are giving him such bad comments like I've read a few, the're crazy mean it's really threatening and nearly none of them make sense and really weird I noticed nearly all rude comments telling him to delete the game were all almost at the same time replied to him. Sad game it went down but it should come back sooner or later, well I hope it does it's not really addictive but just to some people it's the only thing they do in all the time they have

  10. i don’t think he is telling the truth because the man was making 50,000 $ per day that’s more than some people make in a year so why would somebody give that up even the article said nintendo wasn’t going to sue neither was the man that made piou piou so why did he take it of the app store there has got to be some other reason’s something not right about it

    1. No, he clearly said that he took the game down because it made him uncomfortable, he couldnt sleep. When he made 50 thousand dollars every day for two weeks, that is enough money to do a lot of things, and after all, it was HIS choice to take the game down, nintendo said themselves that they wouldnt sue!

I think the creator of Flappy Bird is telling the truth about why he took the app off of the store. He gave a very reasonable explanation as to why he took it off. All of his points in the interview were understandable. He was feeling too overwhelmed and did what he though was best.

I think that the creator if flappy bird is lying. I think he is lying because, who wouldn't want to make a ton of money? I think that he took away the game so he could be in the news and it would make flappy bird more popular so when the game comes back it would be more popular and he would make more money.

In my opinion I think the flappy bird creator is not telling the complete truth. In the article "There's something fishy going on" it seems to coincidental that all if a sudden even though it's been out for multiple months, it just blows up with so many hits in such a short period of time. Also the ratings seemed weird because they would leave a negative commented and still give five stars. The rankings are also to similar for it to just happen normally.

In my opinion, the creator is hiding something from the people who played and enjoyed flappy bird. I believe this for many reasons, the first reason is that the game is addictive but is easy to control. It becomes so frustrating you tend to give up on it easily, coming from experience. It seems as if he is trying to keep something from people to prevent getting in trouble from others. Also, he's reacting to the situation as if he doesn't want to be successful. He said he "can't handle it" but the question we should be thinking about is "handling" what? The reasons do not support the whole "I can't handle it anymore" there must be more to the story than we think.

  16. Michele's Comment:

I think that the creator of flappy bird isn't telling the truth about why he took the game off of the App Store. I think the reason is that he wants to wait a little more to get the fans of his game really upset, and then out of no where, put the game back on the App Store. Then, everyone will go crazy about how he did this, and more people will download the game which means more ads, which means more money for him. Another reason why I think that he did this is because he is scared of having this game as a huge success because then people will expect more from him and he doesn't have any other good ideas for more games to make. There is certainly a secret behind this, because it's almost one hundred percent unlikely that someone who is making so much money would care about other people's addiction to the game and remove it just because of his concern and his dislike for his new rich life. He is certainly lying, and I have no doubt he has a plan in mind to become an even more better success than he already is.

I think the creator is not telling the truth about why he took the app off the store. Flappy bird came out in May of 2013 and didn't stir much attention at the time, but then around December 2013, Flappy bird as well as other of the creators other games came out of nowhere and got to the top of the App Store. Not that many game will burst in popularity months after release or get to the the top of the store. And just as the popularity gets even higher the creator removes it from the App Store, even though he is making quite a lot of money everyday. Most people would never remove an app if they were making lots of money everyday, something very suspicious is going on.

    1. True, but think of the amount of stress he has on him, having people threatening to kill him, people are killing their own families. imagine having thousands of people hatting on him. would you be able to handle that?

I do not think that the creator of Flappy Bird I telling the truth because who gives up that much money. I personally think there is a more personal part of the story. He could have been threatened by other game companies like Super Mario Bros. I do agree tht there is something fishy going on.

I believe that the creator of flappy bird is telling the truth. I may not have much experience with his situation but I do know how it feels to have so much pressure on you. I don't do well with so much pressure on me, for example when I play a game with my friends or family, or I'm playing a sport or when my mom is watching me to make the right decision and there are people counting on you to do the right thing, but in his case there are thousands of people counting on HIM to make the right choice, but the thing is there is always going to be hatters in the world. But to have so many people it's hard to be in his position, if it were me I'd do the same. Could you imagine having thousands of people making terrible mistakes because of some game you invented, yes you're making tons of money but is it worth it for people to be going out of their minds. So yes I believe that he took down his game flappy bird because it was to much to handle.

    Flappy bird
In my opinion that the creator of flappy bird is not telling the truth. I believe that he is not telling the truth because I find it really stupid that he is taking down a really successful and popular game. Its like he dosen't want all the money he earned just because it's so popular and everyone's talking about it. It seems like he dosen't want the attention for what he deserves since he made such an addictive game. So I believe that the creator of flappy bird is hiding something.

  21. Tiffany's Comment:

I honestly think that the creator of Flappy Birds lied about why he pulled the plug on Flappy Birds.
    Some of the reasons are:
    1. Rarely anybody pull their game they made from any company.
    2. The creator of Flappy Birds, Dong Nguyen got about $50,000 a day! So why would he destroy Flappy Birds if he could get way more money than the $50,000 a day…!?!?!?
    3. When they interviewed “Dong Nguyen” they say that he was “stressed” so its possible that something or someone was bugging him really badly, which is why he lied about people getting too addicted to his game forcing him to shut down Flappy Birds.
    4. Usually game creators don’t mind if people get addicted to their game, they actually want people to become addicted, so that they could earn more money.
So why did he close Flappy Birds…? I’m guessing that there’s a big secret that “Dong Nguyen” is hiding from the world…..

    1. I completely agree with your comment. I do think that something was bugging him too, like maybe being sued from super Mario or another company. And I also agree on why someone who is making so much money and becoming such a success take down the game? Something strange is going on with this guy.

    2. I agree with you but I just want to tell you why I think he is lying. He is probably lying because in the middle of flappy bird being famous and all he probably thought that if he took flappy bird off of the app store, the people who werent able to play flappy bird would want to play the creators other games

I think that the creator is telling the truth because even though he was being more and more famous and making lots of money I think that he is being stressed from lots of things like reporters,Nintendo( being sued and all that kind of bother), work and people/annoying fans. So of course If I was him, definitely I would take of the game and live a more simple life without being stressed.Besides he 2 other games that he made and those games are still making lots of money so I think for him taking off flappy birds may be a huge thing for people but not him.

  23. Kishon's Comment:

Flappy Bird was not very famous when it was released. But in the months from December and on it jumped from a couple of downloads to millions of downloads. But not just flappy bird also the other games the creator made. This is a miracle, and the creator, Dong Nguyen was making a lot of money because he took it down. He could be lying about how he thought it was addicting and too much complication. He might of took this app because soon even more people would know about this and if he posts it now followed by an excuse he would get even more downloads and money. Their can also be a computer hack behind this because this app got famous in one month (December) and after that everyone knew about it. This app is fun and addicting but even though the creator is trying to act like an understanding person and not trying to make it be addicting I think he has a plan behind all this to succeed more and make much more money.

  24. I don't believe me him because I have never heard a story before about an app maker who doesn't want an addictive app that makes u 500$ a day. If you make an app you don't just wanna make it boring and not make money right?. So I think this is just a publicity stunt to make this game even more popular and to make him popular so that he makes even more money and any game he ever creates people are ganna wanna buy it because of how good flappy bird is.as well as that he could have also deleted the app so that his other games that he has made got more popular too so he makes even more money then he already does everyday.

  25. I think the creator is not telling the truth because a normal person wouldn't really care unless they get money, and I think there is no point in making the game if you’re going to shut it down eventually. I think, since the creator knows that flappy bird is getting more popular by the second, he is going to put flappy bird back in the app store, then because of all rumors about flappy bird a lot of people will play it even more. I think this was his goal from the start of flappy bird because of all the news spread about flappy bird, people who’ve never even heard of it before will get interested and want to try it even more. I also think that the creator might have only made flappy bird so that all the his games will be popular and took flappy bird out of the app store so that the people that don't have flappy bird will try the creator’s other games. So I think the creator is not telling the truth.
